Guide Service using Hunting and Trapping Methods

This bear trapping package will consist of a fully-guided guided hunt experience

HUNT OVER BAIT / TRAPPING

1. Lodging included on-site cooking with food plan.  Includes pick-up and return travel to B.G.R. Airport.

2. Transportation to and from hunt/trapping sites.

3. Delivery to butcher of trophy

Butcher processing fees are included for one bear per hunter.

4. Delivery of hide to taxidermist also included if necessary.

5. Taxidermist fees not included. 

6. $500 Deposit per hunter due in January  remainder of cost upon arrival

What to Bring

  • Maine Trapper Education course for Black Bear Hunting  is required and issued through the Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife

  • Your driving license

  • Clothes appropriate for the weather

  • Extra warm clothes – just in case

  • Proper footwear 

  • Ice Trips Require to bring own Snowmobile  unless prior arrangments are made. 

Additional Facts About Our Black Bear Hunts

  • Maine’s Over Bait bear season begins at the end of August and lasts four weeks Trapping runs thru the end of October

  • This hunt includes trapping methods that have been extremely successful over the last few seasons combining professional trained guide service with extensive trapping experience

  • Every hunter Will be Provided 2 active Bait sites to Hunt over and 3 if booking a Combo hunt.

  • One bear per hunting license. A second bear may be taken by snare with a Bear trapping Permit.

  • All Guided Bear packages includes lodging, transportation to and from Bait sites, transportation of game to the Butcher or caping quartering and freezing of meat for those who enjoy processing the animal themselves.
